What does Portside Club cost to join? +
Membership is completely complimentary. There is no fee to join or to receive a consultation. We earn commissions from cruise line casino programs when we place members on sailings — which means our incentives are perfectly aligned with yours: we only succeed when you sail.
What is an Independent Casino Host (ICH)? +
An Independent Casino Host operates outside of a specific casino or cruise line, representing players and advocating for comps and VIP treatment on their behalf. Unlike a cruise line's in-house casino host, an ICH can work across multiple lines and has the freedom to find you the best match for your play level and preferences. Portside Club operates as both an ICH and ICR (Independent Casino Representative).
What level of play is required to qualify for comps? +
Comp eligibility varies by cruise line and program. In general, players with an Average Daily Theo (ADT) of $500 or more per day begin to qualify for meaningful comps including reduced fares and onboard credits. Higher ADT levels unlock complimentary staterooms, suite upgrades, and premium benefits. We'll assess your profile and give you an honest picture of what you qualify for.
Which cruise lines do you work with? +
Our primary partners are Royal Caribbean (Club Royale program), Celebrity Cruises (Blue Chip Club), Virgin Voyages, Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, and Norwegian Cruise Line. We are actively expanding our network. If you have experience with another cruise line and want to explore comp opportunities, reach out — we may still be able to help.
Do you handle the actual cruise booking? +
Yes. Portside Club is a licensed independent travel agency operating through Plum Vista Travel LLC. We handle the full booking process — including cabin selection, documentation, and comp confirmation — so you have a single point of contact for everything.
What if I've never cruised before? +
First-time casino cruisers are welcome. If you have a documented history of casino play (land-based or otherwise), we can work with that to establish your profile and find you a first sailing with the best possible experience. Many of our members discovered casino cruising through Portside Club and never looked back.
